Third Circular

Dear Colleague,
This is the last circular for the Tenth International Spring Seminar on Nuclear Physics.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

As we decided to avoid having a poster session, the program of the Seminar turns out to be rather dense. We hope, however, that this admittedly unusual "all oral" format will help to create a more lively atmosphere.

Talks
Talks can be presented using an LCD video projector or an overhead transparency projector. The files with your presentation (Power Point or PDF) should be made available to the conference secretariat the day before the talk, using one of the standard storage tools (CDROM, USB memory stick). Presenters may use their own notebook only if previously agreed with the conference organization.

PROCEEDINGS

The Seminar proceedings will be published by IOP in the online open access journal Journal of Physics: Conference Series. All submitted papers will be peer reviewed. A hard copy of the proceedings will be made available to all conference participants. The cost is included in the registration fee. The proceedings will contain the text of all invited and contributed papers. Contributions will not be included if the contributor does not attend the Seminar.
Papers must not exceed 6 manuscript pages including tables and figures. The deadline for receipt of manuscripts is June 30, 2010. These should be sent as PDF files to the E-mail address covello@na.infn.it and must be prepared making use exclusively of the proceedings style files to be downloaded from the site http://iopscience.iop.org/1742-6596/page/Guidelines%20for%20authors.
Please keep in mind that, since we aim at fast publication of the proceedings, the above deadline must be strictly observed and no paper arriving later than this date will be accepted.

REGISTRATION AND ACCOMMODATION

Participants may register and pick up their conference portfolios at the Seminar Secretariat. On Thursday May 20 this will be set up at the Hotel Lloyd's Baia and will be open from 16:00 to supper time, and thereafter daily until the end of the Seminar. A registration fee of € 250,00 will be charged to all participants at the time of registration. Participants will be given a receipt indicating their payment of the registration fee. Please note that we cannot accept credit cards.
The number of participants have exceeded the room availability of the Hotel Lloyd's Baia. The latter will arrange accommodations for late applicants at nearby hotels. Information about accommodation will be provided at the Reception Desk of the Hotel Lloyd's Baia. While breakfast will be served in each hotel, dinner will be served to all participants at the Hotel Lloyd's Baia. This will provide the opportunity for contacts and small group discussions. The balance due to the hotels should be paid at the Reception Desk of the Hotel Lloyd's Baia. Extras will be paid in each hotel.

TRANSPORT TO VIETRI

By car
If you travel by car, covering the motorway A2 Rome-Naples you can easily reach A3 Naples-Pompei-Salerno. You have to leave A3 at the Vietri sul Mare exit.

If you arrive in Naples by train , you can reach Salerno by the railway system in about 30-50 minutes. From the Salerno railway station (Piazza Ferrovia) you can take the CSTP bus no. 4, direction Vietri sul Mare.

If you arrive in Naples by plane , there is a bus service operated by the companies SITA and Buonoturist connecting the Airport to Salerno. The bus leaves from the arrival side of the Airport. The tickets (€ 7,00) can be bought aboard. Please note that you should get off at the Salerno Piazza Concordia stop. From there you can reach Piazza Ferrovia (Salerno railway station) where you can take the CSTP bus no. 4, direction Vietri sul Mare.

Transfer Service
On Thursday May 20 the conference will provide a transfer service from the Airport and the Central Railway Station to Vietri. A first conference bus will get to the Naples Airport at 16:00 and will wait in front the arrival side until 16:45. Then it will collect participants at the Central Railway Station. The meeting point is in front of the Hotel Terminus which is about 50 meters from the exit of the central Station on the left-hand side. The bus will leave for Vietri at 17:30. The trip takes about one hour. A second conference bus will get to the Airport at 19:00 and will wait until 19:30. Then it will go directly to Vietri.

SOCIAL EVENTS

A welcome cocktail will be offered at the Hotel Lloyd's Baia to participants and accompanying persons on Friday evening before dinner. An excursion by boat to Positano is planned for Sunday afternoon. The Seminar dinner will take place on Monday evening. More information about this and other social events will be given at the beginning of the Seminar. We look forward to welcoming you to the Seminar and hope that you will have a profitable and enjoyable time.
